Christmas Wayfarer (symphony orchestra or concert band)

Listen to the Recording

This exciting and cinematic medley of traditional Christmas carols was first created in 2015 for symphony orchestra (this version, performed by the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, appears on the recording “Dashing, Vol. 2” by Navona Records); then it was arranged in 2016 for concert band at the request of the Golden West Pops who debuted this version in December 2016 in Southern California. The work’s duration is about 8-9 minutes, and it includes Wallin Huff’s original adaptations of “I Saw Three Ships” (with original Celtic-style music first created by Wallin Huff in 2012), “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Coventry Carol,” “O Holy Night,” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”
