The Old Music Box (solo piano)

“The Old Music Box” is among Sarah’s earliest pieces, composed in 2001. Though not having grown up with a piano in the home, when Sarah was younger she would steal away while on visits to her grandparents into the “music room” to invent melodies on her grandmother’s hundred-year-old, upright piano. This tune was a favorite miniature that she would play every chance she got. The recording of this work, found on the 2013 album “A Personal Echo,” is performed by Wallin Huff on the very same, cherished old piano.
